Awesome clive, never knew about TED. The metaphor for the mystery box is great, and his examples were great too. Wish there was more!
I found out about TED about a month ago and I’m so very impressed by it as a concept. An invitation only conference of 1000 innovative thinkers who have a restricted amount of time to present startling ideas.
I’m considering posting other TED talks here… not just on film, simply because I think having a fascination in the world is part of the creative process.
What I really liked about this talk was JJ’s summing up, where he talked about how technology was driving down the cost of production to the point where anyone could make a film… now, where have I heard that before? LOL
“The creation of media has been democratized.”
Amen!
Great stuff!
